Transmogrification
What it does
The Transmogrification package lets you give an equipped item the look of another item while it keeps its own stats. You do it at an NPC, the Warpweaver, for a price in gold. Looks you have earned are collected for your whole account, so you can reuse them later without keeping the items.
Place the Warpweaver
The package adds the NPC to the database but does not place it anywhere in the world. You place it once, where you want it, with a GM command. Your account needs GM rights for this, see Console and commands.
-
Install the package from the Plugins page (Installing packages) and start the server.
-
In the game, stand where the NPC should be, for example in your capital, and type:
.npc add 190010
The Warpweaver stays there for good. To try a place first, use .npc add temp 190010 instead: that one is gone
after a restart. To remove a placed NPC, select it and type .npc delete.
Change the look of an item
- Talk to the Warpweaver. The menu lists your equipment slots.
- Choose a slot. You see the looks you can use for that item, with the price of each. Search... narrows a long list, Hide Slot makes the item invisible.
- Choose a look and confirm.
Remove all transmogrifications puts every item back to its own look; the entry inside a slot does the same for one item. How does transmogrification work? shows the rules in the game.
Using an item from your bags as a look binds it to you and makes it non-refundable and non-tradeable; the NPC asks before it does.
Where looks come from
With the collection turned on (the default), a look becomes yours when you:
- equip an item;
- loot, create or buy an item that is bound to you;
- complete a quest that rewards the item. Quests you finished before the package was installed are checked when you log in.
The collection is shared by all characters on your account. Items still in your bags can be added without equipping them, as long as your character could wear them:
.transmog claim all
.transmog claim also takes an item link or a bag and slot (.transmog claim 0 1 is the first slot of your
backpack). Claiming binds the item to you, like using it as a look.
With the collection turned off, you can only use items that are in your bags.
Sets
Manage sets saves the looks you wear under a name and puts them back on later in one go. You can keep up to 10 sets by default. Saving a set costs gold as well.
Your own options
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
.transmog off / .transmog on |
Hide or show transmogrified looks on your screen. Relog to update the area around you. |
.transmog interface on / off |
Choose looks in a vendor window with ctrl-click preview instead of the list. With very many looks some may not fit in the window. |
.transmog disclaimer off / on |
Hide or show the notice that set bonuses still work while the tooltip does not show them. |
These choices are kept across logins through the server's per-character settings (EnablePlayerSettings = 1 in
worldserver.conf). LonelyIce turns that on in new configs and, once, in the configs of existing installations
on their first start with this version. If you set it to 0 yourself, the choices reset when you log out.
Costs
The price of one change is the sell price of the item you change (at least 1 gold), multiplied by
ScaledCostModifier and plus CopperCost. Hiding an item is free by default. Saving a set costs the sell prices of
its looks (again at least 1 gold each) times SetCostModifier, plus SetCopperCost. You can also ask for tokens: with RequireToken = 1, each change
takes TokenAmount of item TokenEntry (49426, Emblem of Frost, by default).
Restrictions
By default:
- only uncommon (green), rare, epic and heirloom items can be used, both as the item you change and as the look;
- armor must be the same type (cloth stays cloth, plate stays plate);
- weapons must be the same type, with bows, guns and crossbows counted as one;
- you must be able to use the item that gives the look (race, class, skill, level);
- bags, rings, trinkets, relics, ammo, quivers and fishing poles cannot be transmogrified.
The settings below relax each of these rules.
Settings
In the launcher: Settings, group Transmogrification under Plugins (or the gear button next to the package on the Plugins page). Every setting there carries the restart badge: with the server running, Save and restart saves and restarts it; with the server stopped, Save and the next start uses the new values.

All keys start with Transmogrification. in the file. A few are not in the launcher; set them in
configs\modules\transmog.conf in your server folder, which the launcher creates the first time you save the group
(before that, copy transmog.conf.dist from plugins\mod-transmog\conf next to LonelyIce.exe and save it as
configs\modules\transmog.conf):
| Key | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
Allowed |
"" |
Item ids that skip the quality and usability checks, separated by spaces. |
NotAllowed |
"" |
Item ids that can never be used, separated by spaces. |
IgnoreReqSkill, IgnoreReqSpell, IgnoreReqEvent, IgnoreReqStats |
0 |
Skip that requirement for the item that gives the look. |
SetCopperCost |
0 |
Added to the price of a set, in copper. |
After editing the file, restart the server, or apply the changes at once with reload config followed by
transmog reload in the launcher's console (as the group's hint says).
The file also has TransmogPlus keys (EnablePlus, MembershipLevels...). They tie extra features to the paid
subscriptions of a server's website and are off; they have no use on a LonelyIce server. The portable Warpweaver
(.transmog portable) is one of those features, so it is not available, even with Portable transmogrifier
on.
For GMs

.transmog add set <player> <item set> |
